Fleet Management keeps the whole life of your vehicles in one place. Vehicle cards, driver assignments, maintenance, inspections, accidents, fines, insurance, tyres and contracts all sit here. Vehicle lists in spreadsheets and the scatter of "when is the inspection, whose fine is this?" come to an end.
Let us be clear about scope. The fleet module on web is mature and usable today. The fleet mobile app is a prototype. Plan your field expectations accordingly.
Mikro, Logo or Piconn, or your existing fleet tracking system, can stay in place. EQLEM sits beside it as the operations layer. The GF fleet integration is ready.
Who is it for?
Fleet managers run vehicle cards, tags, vouchers and assignments. HR and operations keep driver and training records. Maintenance teams manage maintenance, inspection and accident records. Anyone tracking cost follows fines, insurance, tyres, contracts and replacement vehicles. IT sets up the GF integration. The asset team can share the same tag and location vocabulary as the Assets module.
All of this is on web. The mobile side is a prototype.
How it works
A vehicle card holds the plate, the tag and the assignment. An assignment is attached to a driver. Voucher records hold the operational documents.
You follow maintenance and inspection dates from a list. For dates coming up, you can set a reminder with notifications. Insurance and contract end dates are followed from the same list.
When you enter an accident record, the insurance and replacement vehicle process opens on web.
Fine and tyre costs are gathered in the period report.
You can check a driver's training record before handing over a vehicle.
The GF integration aligns fleet data coming from outside with your system.
You filter lists with the list experience. Permissions decide who assigns a vehicle and who sees a contract. Reporting shows fleet cost and compliance status. If you already run another system, system sync keeps things aligned.
Because the mobile app is a prototype, give the field team web or a tablet browser as an interim answer. Do not promise a native mobile app.
Benefits
The whole vehicle life sits on one platform.
Maintenance, inspection and accident history is read from a single record.
Fine, insurance and tyre costs are clearly visible.
The GF integration brings external data into your system.
The prototype status of the mobile side is stated plainly, so no false promise reaches the field.
With modular licensing you can open fleet on its own.
