The Assets module manages your fixed assets and field equipment. You open a card for each item, record who it is assigned to, and raise a service request when it breaks. The question "who has that piece of equipment, and where is it?" disappears.
This module is not the same as a stock count. In stock you track product quantities. Here you track the life of individual assets.
Mikro, Logo or Piconn can keep the asset ledger. EQLEM manages field assignment and fault tracking.
Who is it for?
Asset managers run cards, tags, status, assignment, location and counting. Service teams manage requests, operations and assignments. Field staff update fault status. Teams using CRM link a customer request to the asset it concerns. IT aligns tag and location definitions with Master Definitions.
All of this works on both web and mobile. There is a separate mobile service app for the service side.
How it works
An asset card holds the tag, the status, the assignment, the location and count information.
When you add a new asset, create the card and its tag first, and record the assignment afterwards. Tags and locations make reading in the field faster. An assignment is attached to a person or a unit.
A count produces a discrepancy list. Permissions decide who approves it.
Service requests, service operations and assignments flow on both web and the mobile service app. An assignment reaches the technician, and the fault status is followed through the record history.
A service record can join up with the SLA and satisfaction processes in CRM. The customer's SLA and the equipment in the field meet on the same data.
Lists share the list experience rules. Notifications pass on assignment and fault events. Reporting shows asset status and service load. If you already run another system, system sync aligns the definitions.
Benefits
Assignment and location are visible at any moment.
The mobile service app connects the field to the office.
Fault status is read from a single record.
A customer request and the equipment in the field come together in one place.
A separate model is used from the stock module, so the two processes never get mixed up.
With modular licensing you can open the asset process on its own.
